Letter to San Jose City Council
Please vote to preserve our sacred park on Noble Avenue
For 35 years, I have walked to our perc ponds with my husband, our dogs, our daughter, our friends. I have gone by myself when I have been deeply troubled, especially during the Covid lockdown. I don’t know what I would have done many times if I had not had the sanctuary of that park. Yes, it is a wild, undisturbed, quiet haven from this city that has gotten way too big and noisy. One of the reasons my husband and I have chosen to stay here is because of the beauty of this area, and most importantly, our perc pond park that is so close to our house.
I have included a slide show with a small percentage of the magnificent wonders I have been able to capture there. Please take a moment to experience what I and my neighbors hold so dear and precious. I had to make it low definition, so the pictures aren’t as clear as they really are! My apologies.
Please don’t take our park away.
Sincerely,
Margaret Wheeler
